Monaghan County Council is seeking Expressions of Interest to select members of the Monaghan Local Community Safety Partnership (LCSP). An assessment committee will be formed to assess all applications and to identify suitable members.
It is agreed that the Public Participation Networks will play an important role in recruiting community representatives and you are strongly encouraged to apply as your knowledge and experience will be vital to the success of the Local Community Safety Partnership.
The LCSP is being established in line with the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024. The Partnership is a collaborative initiative that brings together community members, local councillors, statutory services, and the community and voluntary sector to improve safety and wellbeing across the county.
A key premise of the partnership approach is that every community is different and that the membership seeks to include the broadest of representation across sectoral interests, demographics and community interests in community safety.
The Partnership will include the following representation:
- Resident Representatives
- Youth Representatives (18-25)
- Minority/new communities Representatives
- Social Inclusion Sector Representatives from the Community & Voluntary Sector
- Education Representatives
- Business Representatives
Members will be appointed for a term of three years.
