Monaghan Age Friendly Programme have commenced the consultation process for the development of Monaghan Age Friendly Strategy 2026-2030.
The strategy is intended to make County Monaghan a great place in which to live active and healthy lives regardless of age. The development of the strategy will be overseen by the Monaghan Age Friendly Alliance which is made up of statutory and non-statutory agencies all working together to improve the quality of life for people in County Monaghan.
This 5 year plan will ensure that all agencies work together to respond to the challenges and opportunities of an ageing population.
We are asking for anyone aged 55 and over to complete our survey which asks those taking part about where they live, the safety in their home, awareness of local services, is their home suitable to continue to live in, have they access to local transport and access to community amenities and what needs improving in their towns and villages to make where they live somewhere they can meet up with family and friends.
We would be very grateful if you are in this age category or if you would ask members of your family to complete the survey in the link below or via a printed version attached.
Your support in the development of this strategy is very much appreciated.
